Combination of The Album and Back To Front plus one bonus track.
Released in 1986, this CD has tracks from the two Caravan albums called The Album and Back To Front, plus one bonus track. It contains just 10 tracks from each album and is 50 minutes long. When this CD was released in 1986, The Album and Back to Front LP's were out of print and CD versions wouldn't be available until 1990. So, it was the only way to get these songs, if you really wanted them.
On this album, the good songs come from The Album recording sessions. The first song is the bonus track and it is fairly good. All the songs from Back To Front are really bad.
If you already have The Album and Back To Front, is it worth buying this CD for the bonus track? It is a good song, but not one of the Caravan's absolute best. It is not worth buying a CD for this one song.
If you already have Canterbury Collection should you buy the The Album or Back to Front? The Album has two other very good songs that are not on this CD. The only two good tracks on Back to Front are not included on this CD (but I don't know if I would buy Back to Front for those 2 songs because the rest of the CD is pretty bad). no reviews yet
